the passing
The conclusion of a story. What more could have been said about the passing of the Legendary Super Saiyan? The Saiyan who had many times over found ways to win against insurmountable odds had finally found an opponent that he couldn't conquer. An opponent he couldn't fight. What a way to end.
No honor. No glory. Just a virus. A stupid, unforeseen virus.
Gathered around the bedside of a cold, motionless Goku stood the companions that had aided him so loyally in life. He had left them all behind. He had left them in favor of a better place. No more pain. No more suffering. No more heart virus. It almost felt. Selfish.
Now that was a huge stretch. Goku? Selfish? He had never anything to do with the word while he lived his sinless life. And yet, despite all of the selflessness, all of the generosity, all of the innocence, the Saiyan was cursed with an unlived life.
Perhaps it was a reward. An early one-way ticket to a better place.
So many dilemmas. But only one thing was certain. East District 439 was fogged by a thick cloud of bitter grief.
